So sorry to hear of your loss. Ian and I were very long time friends from the 1940s. I remember your green Morris Minor. PF 441. Going rabbiting we all had fun.

My condolences on the loss of uncle Ian.
So many memories as a young boy, going up to Mildura, spending hours picking oranges and grapes, fishing, fishing and morr fishing. 45 years after the event, I still bare a scare on my stomach for the unfinished indoor pool at Ian and Isobell’s beautiful new home at the time.
Even spend my honeymoon 30 years ago, driving the mechanical grape pickers until 1am, having a few Reds up top while we were doing it.
Amazing memories of an amazing man

Our deepest condolences to Isobell, Gavan, Leonie, Matthew, Nathan, Lachlan, Cameron, Holly and partners on the passing of your much loved Husband, Dad, Pop I and Great Grand-Father.
Every so many years we would see Uncle Ian in Ballarat for a pop in visit with Dad – His little brother Ron.
They would share stories of adventures had as kids and adults, what’s good for fishing and who was fixing what and how and with every visit Uncle Ian’s cars got bigger and bigger!
Reunions that were as though they had only seen each other yesterday and years hadn’t passed.
Their similarities not only in their interests and hobbies but their looks and that infamous Highdale temperament as well. Both having that cheeky glint in their eye and a sense of humour to back it up. Oh the stories they told!
It was a lovely sight to see and great moments to be a part of that we will always hold dear.
Our thoughts are with you all as you say not goodbye but as our dad would say Hoo Roo.
Rest easy Uncle Ian, You’ve earned it 🕊️
