My memories of Dawn go back 57 years ago, and through her, I met my life’s partner, her baby brother Colin. Dawn always had that special something that made you want to be around her, her infectious laugh, her joy for life, and throughout her life, her kind heart that knew no boundaries with her friends and family. Dawn was a treasured work colleague and special friend to my mum and elder sister Barb during their work at the hospital and retained a strong bond with Barb until her passing a couple of years ago. From the stories Colin tells me of their early childhood in Collingwood, Dawn was a fierce protector of those she loved, and he could always rely on her to ‘have his back’. Her beautiful children, Belinda and Nigel, have inherited her kind, kind heart, as I am sure will her beloved grandchildren and her future generations to come. Rest in peace, beautiful lady.
