Thank you Terry for your friendship, help and knowledge. You can never be replaced in our lives.
From the early 1990’s when we landed in Sunraysia and joined the SWCG, you and Gwen welcomed us into your family. From our many joint animal rescues and releases, the rescue phone calls at awkward hours, to trips into the bush and our many dining room table discussions at your place and ours, where we learnt, planned and laughed.
Thank you for being part of our children’s growing up. Always being interested in what they were doing, and always ready to help and guide them. They are all the richer for having you in their lives.
You will always be in our thoughts and stories.

  • Sunraysia Wildlife Carers

Terry was a founding member of the Sunraysia Wildlife Carers Group in 1984.
Terry brought a wealth of knowledge on all things about the local community, the environmental land and water, and native fauna & flora to the group. Whenever members needed more information and understanding about a particular native animal, it was always ‘ring Terry & Gwen”. Terry was ever reliable and nothing was ever too much trouble. We always knew we would get help, a story and be more knowledgeable after every encounter.
The thousands of hours spent rescuing and caring for native fauna, in particular birds and raptors, and the thousands of Kms travelled to help wildlife, can only be admired. A true community minded and caring person.
Terry also brought a great skill set to running the committee of the SWCG, and was treasurer for all its years. A great steadying, thoughtful and integral member at all meetings.
The SWCG and the native fauna of Sunraysia thank Terry for his dedication and time spent caring. He will be truly missed.
