Alan, was largely responsible for creating Wentworth Primary School as a place where each student was valued, and cared for by all.
I greatly valued his guidance and the excellent school he left for those who followed.

My favorite uncle and mums twin – Alan was a gentle man always forgiving and the family leader. Mum’s favorite memories were with Alan as kids in Fern Bay, during a test at school mum was asking Alan for the answers and looking at his test paper but Alan covered it up so mum stabbed him in the arm with her fountain pen – Alan forgave her- he didnt have a mean bone in his body. They stayed close all their life and at mums 80th Alan showed up in Tasmania with his beloved bagpipes- that made mum’s day. I know they are back together now with Granny Affleck and his brother Don all laughing. He was a good man sadly missed.
