In loving memory of you, Clair, you brought so much joy to me and others, and so much conviction to those who discriminated against our people and treated us unfairly and sometimes inhumanely. You challenged those who thought they could ignore us and suspend us from gaining opportunities and take our human rights away. Your legacy will live on forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your impeccable wisdom and passion for culture. You have inspired millions. Your family would be super proud of you and all your achievements. Fly high now, we will miss you forever. Thank you for everything. My deep respect, admiration, and condolences go to Barry, Marie, Michael, Jamie, and your partners, your adorable grannies, some of whom I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and others I’ve seen grow up on Facebook. Thank God, Clair was an avid Facebook user, which is how we always managed to keep up to date with one another. I will be searching for her on Facebook and will wait patiently now for her to post from the Dreamtime—my sincere condolences to all of you at this unfortunate time until we meet again!
