BOTTRELL Paul ‘Frog’

With heavy and broken hearts, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Frog on August 31, 2025, aged 51 years. Beloved partner of Jill Dowdy. Adored son of Keith and Joy. Loving and cheeky brother of Sandra and Greg, Glenn and Stacie. Loved and questionable influence of his nieces and nephews. Much loved son in-law of James and Pamela, and brother in-law of Daniel, Jason and Cindy, Shannon and Jamie.

To celebrate Frog’s life, a graveside funeral service will be held at the Coomealla Memorial Gardens Lawn Cemetery, Dareton, on Wednesday September 17, 2025, at 10.30am. In Frog’s honour we invite you to wear your favourite car, motorbike or music band shirt. There’s no need for formal attire – come as you are, in the spirit of what Frog loved most.

So very sorry to hear this tragic news. Thinking of Joy, Keith, Sandra and Glenn, Jill and families. We live in England but worked on their vineyard early 90’s and have never forgotten their wonderful generous family, and have kept in touch. We can’t imagine your sadness and send our love.
With sympathy, Belinda & Kate xxx

I had the pleasure of working with Frog at Autobarn in the early days when they moved to 15th St. Frog was always the gentleman and just a beautiful sole. He always made me feel welcome whenever I visited Autobarn. Taken eay too young. Rest peacefully Frog, hope there are plenty of motor cars and auto stuff for you to tinker with in Heaven.

Froggy, thank you for being my best mate❤️. l will miss you so much. All the awesome memories racing around in your green Hyundai, me in the Red Maloo to you buying it off me and the purchase of our VY Maloo’s together, swapping interiors, changing exhausts, Ute shows, being nurse Jo many times to you when you come off your dirt bike or hit a stump and split your foot open. The many sea food nights we would have every week at the pickers shack when you were with Jackie. So many memories but most of all you were there for me and my girls no matter what. The best part Frog is you found the most beautiful girl who has a heart of gold just like you and both smitten with each other and the day I met her I knew she was your everything and remember saying “Frog, dont fuck this up” your reply " yes miss Jo". You guys were everything fairy tails are made of. Froggy rest assured if Jill needs me I will be there as you guys were for me and my girls. My heart truly breaks for your family Dad, Mum, Sandra, Glenn and family. I miss our long phone calls taking the piss out of each other with Jill always taking your side and standing beside you rolling her eyes at our stupidity. ❤️ you mate. Jo
