Condolences to the Clarke family. John was a font of knowledge of MG cars and was the man to go to for informed advice. I first met John in about 1975 and was privileged to renew my friendship with him in 2005 when he offered to service a 1964 Rambler America car for Lorraine and I to drive to Port Douglas. The Rambler never missed a beat. In later years John was a guiding light for me in the restoration of my MGs and a great source of knowledge and encouragement. He was a sincere friend who is sadly missed.
The dance floors of the Service Clubs will not be the same without John’s style of jiving!

To the Clarke family, our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. My parents, Don (dec) and Marilyn Wallace, were lifelong friends with John and Marj. Mum and I were fortunate to catch up with Uncle John whilst in Mildura in late September this year. Mum and John reminisced about old times.

Rest in peace, I am sure Marj is waiting with open arms.

To Ken, Lyn and all the Clarke family my thoughts are with you at this sad time. John and his wife Marj were very special to me. I was privileged to be Bridesmaid at their wedding years ago and have many treasured memories of them both. Ken, you have been more than a brother to John over the past few years and I am sure that he appreciated it and I offer my thanks to you for this. I cannot be with you on Thursday but you will be in my thoughts. Farewell dear John.
    Be at peace.
