Filippi, Angelo

 Born in Marano Vicentino, Vicenza, Italy, on February 15, 1934, and passed away at home surrounded by his loving family in Mildura on December 15, 2021. Beloved husband of Ada. Loving father and father-in-law of Therese and Tony, Rita (dec), Domenico and Liesl, Mary and Ben. Adored Nonno of Olivia (dec) Matthew, Emily and Jessica, Greta (dec), Tara and Lior, Violet and Sebastian.

Caro papa`, non esitono parole per esprimere i sentimenti che sentiamo in questo momento della tua mancanza. Papa`, sei molto amato. Sei stato un uomo pieno di speranza e di allegria. La casa sembra vuota senza di te e sapiamo che ci hai sempre amato, specialmente i tuoi carissimi nipoti. Ha avuto corraggio fino all’ultimo minuto della tua vita. Rimarrai nei nostri cuori adesso e per l’eternita’.

Vorremmo cogliere l'occasione per ringraziare sinceramente il dottor Rabin Vikrama per la sua dedizione e guida, Jill nel reparto 3 per la sua infinita pazienza e cura e lo staff di cure palliative di SCHS per averci guidati gentilmente in questo viaggio difficile ma gratificante. È stato un onore prendersi cura di lui nei suoi ultimi giorni più vulnerabili. Grazie a tutti per averci reso capace di aiutare papà e di esaudire il suo desiderio di essere a casa circondato dalla sua cara  famiglia fino alla fine.

Dear dad, there are no words to express our feelings of loss at this time. Dad, you are loved. You were a man full of hope and joy. The house seems empty without you and we know that you have always loved us, especially your dear grandchildren. You showed courage until your last breath. You remain in our hearts – yesterday, today and forever.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Dr Rabin Vikrama for his dedication and guidance, Jill in Ward 3 for her never-ending patience and care, and the staff at SCHS Palliative Care for gently guiding us on this difficult but rewarding journey. It was an honour caring for him in his most vulnerable final days. Thank you all for enabling us to assist dad and grant his wish to be at home surrounded by his loving family until the very end. Thank you especially to Father Matt who helped guide our father to his spiritual home. 

Family and friends of the late Mr. Angelo Filippi are respectfully informed that his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Mildura on Thursday December 23, 2021 at 10.30am. At the conclusion of the Mass the cortege will proceed to the Murray Pines Cemetery. No lutto and no condolences. Please wear colour.

Rosary will be recited at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Mildura before Mass, on Thursday December 23, 2021 at 10.00am.
