  • Ballarat Grammar

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the recent passing of John — a cherished member of the Ballarat Grammar community and a loyal friend to the School.
John maintained a close connection with Ballarat Grammar throughout his life, regularly attending reunions and events, always showing genuine interest and support for his former School. His last visit in 2021, for our Anzac Day Service, remains a treasured memory.
A wonderful storyteller, John would often call to share reflections on his school days, rowing with his beloved crew in 1941, his time in Ouyen, and his passion for Fitzroy — now the Brisbane Lions. These conversations were filled with warmth, humour, and deep affection for the people and places that shaped his life.
We extend our sincere condolences to John’s loving family and friends. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
