    Dear Lorna and family,

It is unbelievably sad and hard to comprehend that our very special friend John has passed away. We’ve had the honor of knowing John for a very long time.
Almost 38 years ago, you so kindly invited us to stay in your home and to meet your lovely family. That was the beginning of a friendship that has lasted ever since, through many visits and constant contact across the years.
We’ve had the joy of watching our families grow and evolve, with new members finding their paths in life. We feel proud and grateful to say that we have such close friends in Australia.
We will always remember John as a unique and truly wonderful person. He was endlessly kind, thoughtful, and full of humor. He had a special way of making people feel welcome and included. I’ll always remember the evenings in Sweden, sharing a beer and talking after a daytrip. John would entertain us with his stories and laughter, yet always had the patience to listen to us, even in our sometimes clumsy English.
We’re so happy that our children got the chance to meet John, even if it was some years ago. His warmth and presence made a lasting impression on all of us.
John will be deeply missed by us all.
    With love,
Jörgen, Elisabeth, David, and Emelie Tengblad

Remembering great times spent with Jacky ! Down the river with his speedboat and the family gatherings! His dry sense of humour and calling Tony “Marcus “ for his nickname ! Our heartfelt love and thoughts to Lorna, Nean, Lyndle and family at this sad time, forever remembered, Tracey, Tony and family X

    Dear Lorna, Nean and Family,
We were heartbroken to hear of Jack’s passing. We are so lucky to have so many wonderful memories of our Jack; his infectious but often cheeky giggle, the joys of more than one drink shared, and the bringing together of our families across the world. I count myself so lucky to have spent more than one afternoon watching a cricket match with him as he so patiently explained the game to me – and in return, he and Lorna’s trips to Calgary learning about our beer, doing numerous runs together, Banff and CFL. He will be sorrily missed by us here in Canada, but will always be remembered with love, a giggle and a rye.
    Our love to you all!

Sincere condolences to Lorna, Nean and family. We really enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with Jack and you during our honeymoon in Australia 34 years ago. It was also great to see you again during your visit to Calgary. Shelagh and Mike Lee.
