Fond memories of a generous big-hearted man with a happy smile and warm personality. We enjoyed a yarn and a camp oven or two with Leon over the years. Deepest sympathy to Kay and all of Leon’s family.

  • Chris Veenstra

We were sad to hear of Captain Leon Wagner’s passing. We have fond memories of his camp oven dinners (especially the vegie bush pudding – thanks for the recipe!) and cruising on the River Murray. Chris & Anna Veenstra

    Dear Kay and family,
Leon’s passion for Heritage vessels was unwavering.
He continued to support the future of heritage vessels especially the Ruby throughout his life as a Riverboat Captain.
Everyone who worked with him loved him and his infectious and vibrant personality connected us all on the river.
