Deepest sympathy to all of Betty’s family. I first met Betty when she was the practice nurse for Mr Worcester and I was the receptionist, then later on through embroidery where my son Zach got the pleasure of her company each week amongst all the girls, as he went with Grandma as a baby. A beautiful lady who always loved to catchup with people. Rest easy now Betty and keep making those beautiful embroidered items. Forever missed Kylie and Zach Gove

We sadly say goodbye to (Great) Grandma Betty.

As a kid I recall, she was always busy and seemed to never ‘break down’, much like her Toyota Corolla. I have fond memories of staying at her place on Kalimna Drive with my cousins.; backyard cricket outside, ten pin bowling in the hallway, and the ‘mystery box’ chest freezer. She enjoyed having her grandkids around. We all knew that by the rogue’s gallery of photos of us on the wall.

Betty had four children, eleven grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren. We will miss her admirable strength and grit and having her as the matriarch of our family.

Although Betty’s passing brings sadness, it gives me pause and joy to see how full her life was.

    Love you, Grandma.

From your (tallest) grandson Michael, Mio, Kaiga, and Riku

Please accept our condolences on the passing of Betty.
Our Mum Peg Smith treasured her friendship with Betty over many years. They bonded over threads and fabrics and their involvement in the Embroiderers Guild and the Patchwork group. It was such a time of creativity, productivity and friendships.
Betty also supported our Mum in her period of ill health which we appreciated.
