My deepest sympathies to Hugh’s partner and family on your devastating loss. Hugh was our paperboy many years ago and was incredibly sweet to my baby sister as a 3 yo, who used to faithfully wait for him each day, sitting in the gutter in front of the letterbox. Always her friend “Shoe”. He would stop and chat with her everyday. We all still addressed him as this and he always grinned and replied Oak Ave. He brightened a lonely little girls day with little effort and charm. I know you are all proud of the kind and loving man he grew to be, and how he touched so many lives so positively.

  • Cath Eddie
