Our knowledge and lovely friendship goes back many years to when we lived at Beechworth.Myself Bob (Robert) we’re close friends with the family. I, Bob was particularly friendly with Robert and my sister Lorraine played basketball with Jean. We met the family a few years ago at a Beechworth reunion. Keith and Jan Richards as well as Terry and Barb Bunting have had a very close relationship with Enid and we all shared a glass of Red in Mildura.
Enid was a great ambassador for education and the wine industry. We have fond memories of Enid and I know she will be Sadley missed.

To all the family, my condolences. Still can remember a staunch, but fair, senior teacher at Mildura High School. And I do mean just and fair……a life well spent, I should imagine, Ron.

    To Enid’s family
We are saddened to hear of Enid’s passing.
She was a colleague of mine for many years at MHS in 1960’s and 1980’s.
She was a great role model for her students,
    staff and the community.
Her life was spent in achieving much but she remained loyal and forthright and treated everyone with respect.
She fitted so much living into her 88 years.
We have very fond and lasting memories of our friend Enid.
May your happy memories be a comfort to you at this sad time.
Thelma Zrna (former Business Manager MHS)
    friend of Mark Zrna
Principal and friend of Scott Zrna and Simone Zrna.

Enid’s kitchen was the heart of the camp at Macquarie Island in 1978. Her vigor, warmth and positivity was her gift to us as well as the meals she prepared. The ANARE friendships are often interrupted when we return to our different states and occupations but the warmth of the memories remain.
