A Great Man Who Shaped Mildura
Mildura has lost a great man — a visionary whose influence reached far beyond the businesses he built. , he leaves behind a remarkable legacy and a city that is richer because of his imagination, determination and belief in what Mildura could become.
He saw something in Mildura that others perhaps could not yet see. While many viewed it simply as a regional town, he imagined a place of style, quality and sophistication — a destination where people could dine well, stay well and experience genuine hospitality.
Through his vision and hard work, he helped build Mildura’s hospitality industry into something special. He introduced a level of service, elegance and ambition that raised expectations and changed the way people thought about the city. His establishments became more than places to eat or stay; they became gathering places, meeting points and part of the fabric of Mildura life.
He was a true visionary — someone prepared to take risks, think differently and invest in the future. He understood that a thriving regional city needed more than industry and commerce; it needed character, culture, hospitality and places that made people proud to call it home.
His greatest achievement may not be measured in buildings or businesses, but in the people he inspired and the standard he set. He helped put Mildura on the map and showed that sophistication and excellence had a place in regional Australia.
Today, Mildura says goodbye to a great man. His name and his work will remain part of the city’s story, remembered by generations who benefited from the vision he had so many years ago.
He did not simply build businesses.
    He helped build Mildura.

    Sincere condolences,
Our thoughts are with you all at this time. We were fortunate to have several beautiful moments shared with your father/father-in-law/grandfather!
His hospitality when we visited Mildura on several occasions was second-to-none and his passion for the Sunraysia was fervently evident. A great loss to family, friends, and the region.
    Rest in peace Don
